William 'Bill' Edward Lukowski, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2024, at the age of 77.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Loretta 'Lori' Ann (nee Karczewski), beloved daughter Adrienne Long & son-in-law William and beloved daughter Alison & fiance Michael. He cherished his role as the proud Poppy to William John Long, III 'Trey' and Kaitlyn Marie Long. Loving brother of Maryann Iwancio, Robert Lukowski (Kris) and Thomas Lukowski (Nancy) and the late Francis Lukowski. Cherished Godfather to Meg Jordan, Kelly Navasmigueloa, Kimberly Rheam, Cindy Karas and Eve Kenney, in addition to countless family and friends. He will forever be remembered and cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Bill was born on November 10, 1946 in Fells Point, Maryland, to Frank P. Lukowski and Eleanor M. (nee Heanue).
He graduated from Mt. Saint Joseph High School in 1964 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Maryland University College in 1981, after going to night school. He started his career as a steamship agent at John T. Clark and went on to open The Bill Lukowski Steamship Agency, and Fells Point Line Handlers. He was well respected in the Port of Baltimore, and well known in the Fells Point community.
Bill was best known for his generosity, love of golf, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. A proud Vietnam Veteran and supporter of the US Military.
In celebration of Bill's life, a Mass will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (Fullerton) on March 2, 2024, at 10:00 am followed by interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Public viewings will be hosted at Kaczorowski Funeral Home P.A. on March 1, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, providing an opportunity for the community to pay their respects and share stories of Bill's life.
