Susan Farber, of Baltimore, Maryland, passed away October 6, 2021, after a long illness. Born June 12, 1935, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lawrence and Alice (Collette) Williams and wife of David Farber, Jr. (died January 15, 2020). She worked as a school crossing guard for nearly 45 years before retiring in 2019. Susan loved seeing the children that she assisted to school each morning, reading, quilting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Giovanna Young (Walter), sons, Gaetano Rubino (Theresa), Robert McCleary, and Frank Farber, and her loving daughter, Susan Tawney (John), who sadly and tragically passed away on October 9, 2021, only three days after her mother. Susan is also survived by her sister, Betty Pettigrove, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and her five grandchildren, Lauren, Ernie, Robin, Jenny, and Cindy, and many nieces and nephews.
Mom, we will love and miss you forever, and remember you each and every day with laughter and smiles.
“We are of good courage and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8
