Seldon Underwood

On November 3, 2021, Seldon Underwood passed away. He was the beloved and devoted husband for 72 years to Lela Underwood, loving father of Martin Underwood Sr., John Underwood, Regina Nelson and Louis Underwood; dear brother of 7 siblings, survived by his sister Sandra. Seldon is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Seldon Underwood was a kind hearted, hard working and God fearing man.

Seldon Underwood, who went by Joe did everything he could for his family. Working multiple jobs to provide. 1992 is when him and his wife opened their home and spreading their love to fostering over 100 children. He had a passion for music; playing the acoustic guitar, banjo, and harmonica. He loved to cook, making his favorite dishes of beef stew, potato soup, corn bread, sausage and gravy. Joe loved telling stories of when he used to work as a coal miner, a plant manager at Marnoch Rubber Company, and vet technician. He always knew how to make everyone smile, laugh and have a good time. Joe would give the shirt off his back if needed. He was one of the most positive people you would meet. He will be missed so dearly, but we are so great full to have had him in our lives for as long as we did. We will always feel his presence in our hearts.

Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday, November the 10th at Kaczorowski Funeral Home from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M.. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday November the 10th at 12 P.M.. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Parkwood Cemetery.
