Ronald Cansler

Ronald Barry Cansler, affectionately known as "Ronnie," by his family and friends in Texas and Louisiana, 81 passed away on September 14th, 2024. He was born on July 15th, 1943, in Beaumont Texas, to William Chipley Cansler Jr. and Lenora Marie Patureau Cansler. He graduated from French High School in Beaumont Texas and then enlisted in the United State Army during the Vietnam War. After returning from the Army, he because local radio news reporter for Beaumont Texas Radio Station, and photographer and news reporter for the Beaumont Newspaper. Later moved to television where he was an on-air news anchor. As news journalists he would interview numerous national celebrities and personalities. Ronald would always talk about his interviews with Joan Crawford, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Lady Bird Johnson. In November of 1981, he married his wife Mary Ann Porter Cansler. As he reached the executive management level at Ametek Corporation, he developed numerous Patents for Methods for making Wavy Tapered Brush Bristles, and Cosmetic Bristles Brushes. For the major cosmetic companies. Ketema Corporation, General Manager with over five hundred employee, and Rollepall Corporation in Maryland rising to President of the corporation. He was well respected for his knowledge in Plastics Pipe Extrusions Technology and Monofilaments Markets and Cosmetic Manufacturing. Ronald was experienced traveler, he brought a wealth of logistical expertise to his companies, he traveled throughout United States, Mexico, Europe, and South America on business. Ronald had many passions including photography. He had incredible artistic talent. His Aunt Sadie Cansler used many of his photos to paint still scenes for him to display in his home and her art shows. He loved his Corvettes and taking spare of moments trips to visited various parts of United States with his wife Mary Ann. Ronald had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He often spent his spare time researching topics of interest about computers programming, he loved playing computers games. By playing computer games he developed a special friendship with someone that he had never met. Mark Hernandez was stationed overseas in a war zone when they started gaming. When Mark returned to his quarters they started playing Diablo. When Mark returned to the States, he would call Ronald every Wednesday at 4:30 p.m... to check on him to see how he was doing healthwise and then they would start talking about other things. Mark had never missed Wednesday's calls to Ronald and still to this day they had never met in person. Ronald always looked forward to Wednesday's just to talk to Mark.

Ronald loved his dogs. Missy, Wimpy, Lindsay, Frida, and Zoe, he built a special bond between Frida and Zoe and spoiled all of them. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary Ann his son Ryan Cansler; and his sister Janice Kay Christensen and Brother-In-Law Ray Christensen, His nephew James Duhon, Jr. of Nacogdoches, Texas, Irving C. J. Porter, Brother-In-Law, Clara Pakula Sister-In-Law, Jerry Pakula Brother-In-Law. His nephews Jerry Pakula, Scott Pakula, Anthony Pakula, and Nieces Jolanta Pakula and GiGi Pakula and two great nieces. Alexander Porter, Brother-In-Law and Nancy Porter, Sister-In-Law, Martha Brown, Sister-In-Law, and William Brown, Brother -In-Law his nephews John Porter, William Brown Jr. Thomas Brown is preceded in death by his parents, William Chipley Cansler Jr., Lenora Marie Patureau Cansler, His son Ronald Barry Cansler Jr.
