Richard J. Glowack, age 91, died October 20, 2015 at Hooper Hospice House in Forest Hill, MD.
Mr. Glowack is survived by 4 daughters: Kathleen Baldwin, Diane Reisz, Janet Lynch, and Rosemarie Glowack. He also leaves behind 10 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren, in addition to his sister Frances Kelly.
Richard was a World War II Veteran of the 4th Marine Division in which he earned several medals including the Bronze Star with 1 Gold Star, Asiatic Pacific Campaign with 3 Bronze Stars, and the Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon, among several others.
After the war he returned and married Dorothy Brzeczko in October, 1945. He worked as an electrician for several years and then, following in his parents' footsteps he opened a corner grocery store in East Baltimore. After closing the store in the mid-60's, he went to work as a maintenance man at St. Casimir's Church in Canton until retirement. He lived out his final years at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home before going into hospice.
We invite family and friends to visit with us at the Kaczorowski Funeral Home on Sunday, November 1st from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral mass in St. Casimir's Church on Monday, November 2 at 11 am. Interment in Crownsville Veteran Cemetery.
