On May 15, 2017 our Country has lost a Kind, Loving and Generous Soul and true Patriot in the passing of Patrick O’Connor after a courageous battle with cancer.
Pat had a robust 36 year career with the United States Federal Government beginning with the U.S. Army, and then on to the Intelligence Gathering Community of various branches of the military and finally to the National Security Agency, where he was a Signal Intelligence Collection Senior.
Pat spent most of his career outside of the U.S. completing various task for his Country, of which he was so proud. His work took him to 5 continents and many different U.S. and Foreign Embassies. Pat has been awarded a Master of Science Degree in International Relations from Troy University and multiple Individual Awards from the Agencies for which he worked .
Pat is preceded in death by his Parents, Ruth and James O’Connor Sr, and his Brother-in-Law Thomas Mihm.
Pat is survived by his wife of 3 years, Yunllin Sanchez O’Connor, his Brother and Sister-in-Law Larry and Dorothy O’Connor, his Sister Elizabeth Mihm, Brother Michael and many cousins.
Pat has three nieces Michelle O’Connor and Megan Lusby and Megan’s Husband Kip and their two Sons Ryan and Vinny and his Niece Antonia Figueroa Sanchez; four Nephews, Ignacio Figueroa Sanchez, Max Figueroa Sanchez, Pedro Sanchez Cid, and Tomas Sanchez Cid, two Sisters-in-Law Yunleng Sanchez and Yunchoy Sanchez, and one Brother-in-Law Luis Sanchez.
A Christian mass will be held at St. Ursula’s Catholic Church on Harford Road in Parkville, MD. on Wednesday 5/24/2017 at 11:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Moffitt Cancer Center of Tampa in his name.
