On Thursday, June 22, 2023, Lillian M. Lowensen (nee Roberts), beloved wife of John Lowensen Jr. for 67 years. Devoted mother of Diana L. Krotee & her husband Dale, Charles J. Lowensen & his wife Christine, and Kelly Lowensen. Devoted Mom Mom of Katelynne and Joseph Paradise, Keegan Lowensen, Leah Krotee and Elizabeth Krotee and the late Konnor Lowensen. She was the "Great" to Finnegan Paradise the light of her life.
Lillian was also known as Hon, Mommy, Mom Mom, Great, Ms. Lil, Momma Lil, Aunt Lillian, Bushia, Grandma and many more. She was loved by so many people. She married the love of her life at just 16 years old and not only did she meet him through church writing letters to him, she continued their commitment to the church and also service to others until the very end of her life. She passed away peacefully per her wishes in the only home she ever really knew since she was 18 months old.
Lillian obtained her AA degree at 55 years old in human services as her life long mission was to help others, no matter whether it was offering her sofa for someone who needed a place to sleep or stay, a meal, or opening her home to family to recuperate from illnesses, her door was always open to everyone.
Lillian not only volunteered at her church, she volunteered at the Salvation Army soup van, homeless shelters, and began working at Manna House, a local soup kitchen and shortly after working there, she realized that there was a greater need for the hungry as no one was offering food on Wednesday evenings, there was no place for them to go and eat. She advocated for her local church to start a soup kitchen and in 1987, The Supper Club was born. Out of this journey, she and other supporters started a transitional housing program, Earl's Place which is now a part of a larger organization known as Cornerstone Community.
Our mother loved every person and always wanted to help and support everyone as she believed that we were not rich in money but rich in love, so we should help in whatever way we could. If you would like to pay your respects, visiting hours will be at Kaczorowski Funeral Home, P.A., 1201 Dundalk Avenue on Monday from 3 - 5 pm & 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Service on Tuesday at 11 am. Interment in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
We have been asked by friends and family about places she might like people to donate in her memory and so we chose the two places she spent many years, time, energy and love to keep them going. She also was a huge lover of flowers and loved having them as a part of her life. Those desiring to make other donations in Lillian's name may support Cornerstone Community Housing 1400 E. Lombard Street, Baltimore, MD 21231 (

Thank you all for being a part of her life and for loving her as much as she loved you.
