Kathleen Marie Corkran

Kathleen Marie Corkran was born February 8, 1951 to Walter and Mary Czawlytko. She passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025 with her husband Gary Corkran Sr., their children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters in law, David and Barbara, Michael and Nancy, Robert and Debbie, and Brian and Rae by her side at the age of 74. Her life was filled with passion, love, and laughter. 

Alongside her husband of 53 years, Gary Corkran Sr., she raised five children, Matthew Corkran Sr. and his wife Tracey, Amy Bankert and her husband Nicholas, Allison Carter and her husband Jacob Sr., Mary Laudenklos and her husband Adam, and Gary Corkran Jr. and his wife Tori. They built a lifetime of beloved memories together. Kathleen's radiant smile and passionate advice will be fondly remembered. 

Kathleen's love for her family was truly boundless. She was not only the matriarch of her family of 21, but also an unwavering foundation to each of them. She extended her love and devotion to her husband, their dog Tyler, five children and their spouses, and was Busia to 11 grandchildren (Matthew Jr and Jack Corkran, Anna Grace Bankert, Julia, Sara, and Luke Laudenklos, Olivia, Jake, Zac, and Claire Carter, and Tripp Corkran). Each of them had an enduring bond with their Busia. 

Kathleen was extremely proud of her academic and professional career. Kathy graduated high school from The Institute of Notre Dame in 1969. She then pursued her nursing career and graduated from Mercy Hospital Nursing School in 1972. With determination, Kathleen continued on to The College of Notre Dame to further her nursing career.  She graduated in 1994, with high honors and received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Her loyalty, compassion and nourishment was admirable. She treated everyone as if they were a part of her own family.

Kathleen is now resting in peace and reunited with her Mother and Father, whom she loved dearly.  Kathleen is forever our Angel and she will continue to watch over her family.
