It is with heavy hearts and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of James Augustus May Jr., who peacefully departed this world on August 9, 2023. He leaves behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and cherished memories that will forever resonate within our hearts.
Jim was born on February 5, 1944 in Carney, MD to Mary Shaughnessy and James Augustus May Sr. Jim was an Operations Manager for Alexanders' Mobility Services for over 60 yrs. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman who enjoyed spending time with family on the Eastern Shore. It was there that Jim was most relaxed, tranquil and happy.
Jim was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose wisdom and warmth impacted each life he touched. He leaves behind his wife Sharon of 39 years; his four beloved children, Jimmy (Michelle), Sandra, Samantha and Sarah; five Grandchildren, Carmen, James, Alexis, Matilda, and Ciara; his mother, Mary Shaughnessy (99 yrs.); brothers and sisters. Emily (Jim), Mary (Lee), Richard (Janice), Robert (Debbie), Jack (Lil), Michael (John) and Step-brothers Michael Shaughnessy (Beverly) and Barry; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James Sr., his Step-Father, John Shaughnessy, his brother, William and most recently, his son-in-law, Daniel.
As we gather to celebrate Jim's life, let us remember the moments of laughter, the stories exchanged, and the love that he bestowed upon us. May he rest in eternal peace, as we forever cherish the memories he has left behind.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Kaczorowski Funeral Home, P.A..
