Helen passed away Tuesday, 3/16/2010 at home, in the care of her children and Hospice.
She was born August 27, 1924 in Baltimore MD
Helen was the beloved mother of: Anthony J. Spinnato (Jean) Baltimore MD, Monica J. Ponton (Wilfred) St. Petersburg Fl., Charlene A.Cobb (Michael Link) Clearwater, Fl.
She was a loving grandmother to: Dawn Ponton, St Petersburg Fl; Michael E.Paris (Eleanor) Clearwater, Fl.; Wendy Jotch (Drake) St. Petersburg Fl; Kathryn R. Cobb, Charlotte, N.C.; Tracey Kraft (Michael), Baltimore, MD; Anthony Spinnato Jr., Pawleys Island, S.C.
She adored her Great Grandchildren: Joshua, Jourdan and Brian Kraft and Isabelle and Jackson Jotch
Helen was the daughter of loving parents - Sofie and John Bentkowski (deceased)
She is survived by her sister Eleanor Giro of Baltimore, MD. and many nieces and nephews whom she cherished.
She is predeceased by her sister Theresa Baran and brother John (Bentz) Bentkowski.
Helen was married to two wonderful men in her life time: Anthony N Spinnato (deceased) and John E. Herr (deceased)
She was a house wife and mother to her children for most of her life. She worked briefly at Crown Cork and Seal, Hecht Company and Lord Baltimore Press.
She treasured the company of her family and friends and was known throughout her circle of friends as a fantastic hostess.
Helen resided in Northeast Baltimore where she had many friends and was a winter resident in St Petersburg Florida until 2005 when she moved to Florida to be closer to her daughters.
She was catholic and a member of The Shrine of Little Flower.
She will be missed sadly by her family and all whose lives she touched.
