Edward J. Kabara Jr, "Ed" to his many friends and family, was a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and the University of Maryland College Park with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Upon graduation, he began his fifty-plus year career working for the Installation and Service Engineering Group of General Electric and its successor, remaining a Professional Engineer registered to practice by the State of Maryland throughout that time. Beginning as a field engineer, he held numerous positions in that organization, all without ever moving from the Baltimore area. He was a life-long member of Our Lady of Fatima church with many fond memories from his nineteen years as a high school Sunday School/ CCD teacher in the 1970s and 1980s. He remained very active in the organizations and clubs of Fatima's parish community throughout his life. He was first married to Bonnie Kabara, nee Waldhauser, of Dundalk.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kabara, nee Strom, his children Timothy, Christopher, and Carrie and their spouses, his stepchildren Melissa, Laura, and Tommie and their spouses, seven grandchildren, three nephews, and friends and coworkers whose lives he brightened.
The family will welcome friends on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Kaczorowski Funeral Home P.A. from 2:00 PM - 4:00 P.M. & 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M..
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 11:00 A.M..
Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery
