It is with sadness that the Tausendschoen family announces the sudden passing of both DENNIS FREDERICK TAUSENDSCHOEN on Saturday, February 10, 2024 and JANICE GORSKI TAUSENDSCHOEN on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. They leave behind daughter Denise Sharbaugh & her husband Anthony and son Tristan Tausendschoen and his wife Samantha (nee Bisogno), and granddaughter Nora Jeanette Tausendschoen.
Dennis received his bachelor’s degree in history from Towson University, being the first in his family to graduate college. He was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Randolph, and a retired civil servant. His love of history translated to an interest in genealogy and memberships in the Sons of the American Revolution and War of 1812 Society in Maryland. Dennis was a fan of both the Orioles and Ravens, having had Ravens season tickets for more than a decade and a half. He died wishing the Ravens would run the ball more, especially in the playoffs.
Janice graduated from The Catholic High School of Baltimore. She worked as a postal carrier, secretary for The Rouse Company, and a freelance gardener. Janice was exceptionally fond of all her Old English Sheepdogs and her Newfoundland Dogs and will be excited to meet them at The Rainbow Bridge.
Both Dennis and Janice shared pride that they were born in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore. From there, they found happiness living life on their own terms in Hunt Valley. From their first trip to the house, they loved driving out Falls Road; they made good on their goals to garden, have their dogs, and raise a family.
A graveside service for Dennis & Janice will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 1PM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
