Daniel Lee Minge

Daniel Minge, born and raised in Baltimore, passed peacefully in his sleep Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the age of 42 after a fast and fierce battle with lung cancer.

This self-taught Renaissance man was always more concerned with living his best life than looking his best. Known as a guy who thought differently about everything, Daniel overcame his difficult childhood with a positive attitude and grit. He pushed through basic training and school with determination and charisma to work his way up the ladder of life. He was a businessman at heart and had his hand in everything you could think of. From construction to solar to tax sales, smoked meats and auto repair, Dan could truly do anything.

He married in 2006 and started to quite literally build the life of his dreams. He built his home, his businesses and his family with an equal amount of duty and affection.

If you knew Dan you knew he loved fiercely and without reservation. His wife and girls felt his love daily; from working a nine to five job (even though we all knew he was meant for more), to changing diapers and making dinner. Even in his last days he used his energy to make sure his family wants for nothing.

Daniel was clearly made for more than this life. Please think of him as going out wrestling a bear on a motorcycle. He is preceded in death by his sister Melinda Minge and survived by his wife Sandra Minge and daughters Carmen, Alexis and Ciera Minge. He is mourned by his father Gary Minge, sisters Kathy Burgess and Kelly Gray, brother Jeremy Ross and brother from another mother Jay Tuchton as well as many, many family, friends, coworkers and his in-laws.

One thing Dan didn't like were suits, ties and cries so don't feel obligated to bring any. Please join us in remembering him on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 4-6pm at Kaczorowski's funeral home on Dundalk Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please go out and support the business of someone you love.
