On August 13, 2017, CHRISTOPHER M. SKARUPA, devoted father of Allyson Skarupa and Emma Skarupa, loving son of Dorothy M. Weidner & the late Thomas M. Skarupa, dear brother of Kathleen M. Skarupa and her life partner Adriane Bahr, nephew of  Marleen and Jim Carabello,  children Kimberly Carabello-Burghoffer and James Carabello and their families, Michael and Monica Beczkowski, children Michael and Timothy, and Christine and Stanley Moraski.  Christopher is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Christopher spent his life working in the service of his country after earning a BA In International Relations from St. Joseph's University. He actively deployed as a Marine to Iraq during the first Persian Gulf War, and then went on to serve the government in the protection of our borders and deployed armed forces for almost 20 years as a Federal Contractor. He worked for SAIC, BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, CACI and JR Mannes in various Counter-Intelligence/Counter-Terrorism and Forces Protection related roles for the Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and the DIA.
Christopher received numerous awards and achievements throughout his career: The President's Daily Briefing Citation, a Defense Department Commendation, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Sea Service Deployment, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and Navy Unit Commendation.
Visiting hours at Kaczorowski Funeral Home, P.A., 1201 Dundalk Avenue on Saturday from 10  - 12  and  2 - 4 P.M.  Funeral Service  at 4 P.M.  Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Christopher's name to The Wounded Warrior Project.
