Born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 11, 1928. Passed away in Lehigh Acres, FL on November 9, 2020. Beloved Wife of the late Leroy A. Walker, Sr. Survived by her son William Walker, his wife Cristy, son Leroy A. Walker, Jr. and his wife Linda, daughter Carolyn Welker, and son James Walker and his wife Susan. Charlotte loved her family above all else and she is also survived by 8 grandchildren (Jesse Walker and wife Katherine, Luke Walker and wife Natalie, Noah Walker and wife Melissa, Kimberly Pfister and husband Kevin, Lisa Walker, Jennifer Hallowell and husband Brad, Clint Walker and wife Kara, and Candace McConnaughey and husband Daemon) and 14 great-grandchildren (Jacob Walker, Reese Walker, Jack Walker, Vivian Walker, Alena Galante, Charlotte Rose Walker, Kamryn Pfister, Andrew Pfister, Jenna Hallowell, Emily Hallowell, Donovan Walker, Brett Walker, Kiera McConnaughey, and Evan McConnaughey).
In 1952, Charlotte and husband Leroy became original members of the newly built section of Eastwood. She was an active member of all of her children’s schools and P.T.As. Charlotte served as a School Crossing Guard for 25 years and was loved by all her ‘school’ children. She was a key member of the Eastwood Little League and Eastwood Little League Ladies Auxiliary. She spent countless hours selling hotdogs and hamburgers and sodas at the Joseph Lee Fields. She also was very active in the Lady of Fatima Church, volunteering to work in the offices of the Rectory for many years. Also Charlotte volunteered at Bayview Hospital as a greeter and community liaison worker for many years. She was a devout Catholic and was a charter member of the Our Lady of Fatima Leisure Club and spent many hours organizing events and fund raisers for the Church and school she loved so much.
She will be dearly missed as she was a soft spoken, kind and gentle soul who spontaneously reached out to include new member of the many organizations of which she was a vital part. A tireless worker and supporter of all good things in her community, she helped make Eastwood the vibrant community it still is. Heaven gained a hard worker this week and she will be sorely missed back here on Earth by her family and friends. Rest in Peace Dear Lady.
