Charles W. Sturgill

Charles Walter Sturgill 84 of Dundalk Md. passed away on Thursday February 25th, 2021 at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital. He was the son of the late Walter D. Sturgill and the late Effie Jenkins. He is survived by his wife Agnes M. (Ebelke) Sturgill of 61 years, his son Walter H. Sturgill, his daughter Rhonda J. (Sturgill) Fischer, son in-law Kevin D. Fischer Sr., and his two grandsons Charles W.H. Sturgill, and Kevin D. Fischer Jr. and his brother Donald Sturgill and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his sister Rose David and brother Howard Sturgill.
Charles was born June 23rd, 1936 in Letcher County Kentucky. He served in the U.S Army and after his service he worked at Bendix Electric, Esskay Meats and upon retirement from there he worked for Baltimore County Schools as a bus driver, a job that he absolutely enjoyed doing. Charles was an avid Martial Artist  where he achieved the rank of six degree black belt and has been inducted into the World Wide Hall of Fame. He loved teaching in the dojo especially the children. He spent time with his family and loved car shows and hanging out in the garage. A private gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
