Catherine “Kay” Wargowski 4/7/41 – 9/17/21

Loving daughter of the late James and Doris Bory, beloved mother of Kymberli Brenner & D.J. Wargowski, devoted grandmother to Fox Brenner. Proud sibling to 7 fabulous sisters. Caring aunt to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews all whom she adored.

Kay excelled in her career in the food industry as a master baker, getting her start at H+S Bakery where she worked for many years before moving on to Haussner’s restaurant where she quickly mastered baking their famous Strawberry Pies. She then shifted to Stacey’s, then over to Homestyle Buffet before completing her career at Safeway from where she retired to become a full time momom to Fox.

She was an avid sports fan, baseball, football, gymnastics, figure skating, you name it she enjoyed watching it. Often Kay could be found watching the Raven’s and Orioles games and frequently would find old classic games to re-watch on ESPN.

Kay loved gardening, she had quite the green thumb and animals. In her memory the family requests in lieu of cut flowers, a potted plant they can plant in a remembrance garden at their home or a donation to BARCS in her memory in the Kay Wargowski Memorial Fund allowing Kay to give back to Baltimore, the city she loved one final time. https://barcs.funraise.org/fundraiser/jeremy-brenner.
